TOWN OF HUNTINGTON TO REPLACE 39,600 STREETLIGHTS TO LED, SAVING UP TO 1M OVER 30 YEARS

It has been two massive decades since 2009, but Huntington Town will replace all 39,600 streetlights to LED with the contract from SolarMAX LED Lighting. The SMX-WiE Series is the only contract given to the Huntington Town board. It will be dark-sky friendly and more efficient and more powerful. All new streetlights are expected to begin in Spring 2021.

  Town of Huntington is saving $50 million over twenty years to upgrade all existing streelights to LED and as of now, new LED streetlights are going to be more like 3000K-2200K luminaires. They will be available for dark-sky compliants. And they will save energy very powerful and also it can take a long step ahead. The town's LED streetlights should be completed by the end of 2021, beginning of 2022. "As we assume this we are going to convert all existing streetlights to LED luminaires and the manufacturers for LED cobraheads are Acuity, SOLAIS, and SolarMAX. I will think about the light which all lights shall have a 2200K LED luminaires, which are dark-sky friendly."
